Sequoia Waste Solutions is a technology service platform whose mission is to build the tools, pricing knowledge, reporting & services that businesses need in order to plan for and best manage their waste & recycling. Self-funded, profitable and with a proven & transparent business model, we are seeking to fill the new role of Marketing & Sales Specialist to support our accelerating growth.

About the Role

The ideal teammate will understand how to support growth in a modern B2B environment, and enjoy the challenge inherent in supporting growth.  This role is a a hybrid marketing and sale support role; a unique opportunity to be hands on with marketing strategy, deployment, and execution AND the direct deployment of these initiatives to the sales team.  There will be a strong focus on collaboration with multiple aspects of the organization to listen to the changing industry/buyer trends and creating impactful campaigns to meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Our skill set wish list:

  • A solid foundation of project management skills.  We are a small company and we move quickly to deliver results.
  • Ability to collaborate and work directly with stakeholders (internal and external) to create multichannel content for education, brand awareness, marketing & sales campaigns, and to position Sequoia as an industry thought leader.
  • Ability to help maintain and improve our web presence for the purposes of education, lead generation, and online purchases.
  • Working knowledge of CRM & Marketing Automation (HubSpot preferred), including the ability to measure and report on activity from sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Willingness to tackle sales enablement and sales support activities as needed.

About You

  • 2-4 years relevant work experience
  • Selfstarter
  • Excellent communication & organization skills
  • Not afraid to take ownership of tasks
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Prior knowledge of waste, recycling, shredding, secure document destruction, smart buildings, or commercial real estate is a bonus

This role is based in our Pittsburgh PA office and is a full-time salaried position. Partial or full time remote work is possible.  You will be eligible for our full benefits package (Medical, dental, Vision) along with our 401k plan.  Sequoia offers a relaxed professional environment.
